The girl with the candlelight. She is only in it for charity.
When I finalized this artwork, I put it up for auction. Deep down, I knew that was a mistake. I felt something was wrong. Thankfully, the auction ended without closing the deal, so now her future is set for its real purpose. For me, it's a charity piece of art. Always will be.
Evolving girl with the candlelight
She will return in new forms. The original sketch remains the seed. Whatever comes next will carry her warmth forward. For me, The girl with the candlelight is like the Swedish Lucia, who comes and brightens up the winter darkness every 13th of December.
